I just returned from a little test ride. Repairs completed a week ago and time to see how it starts up cold and runs.. The weather today is perfect 65*-70* and no wind. The repairs started over a month ago. The #2 cam lobe weld job broke. ACF back East did the work. The local repairs were done by a great welder.
February 25th, 2024My home rebuilt tanks were also loose when I took things apart.
So, new plan for the tank bolts. Drilled head bolts and safety wire.
I got it running pretty easy. A couple of quit sprints up the driveway and around the neighbors arena. Man, it slides good. Then back to the garage to put on a helmet and jacket. Cruised easy down to the highway.
No traffic so I just rolled on and turned on my favorite little road. WOW! I must have forgotten how hard this bike pulls from low rpm. WOW. Like a rocket. Again and again. I am so stoked. Like a ROCKET!
